There are two things that I love to do with my time..blog and research random topics. That is how this blog was created. While it is still in its infantile stages, this blog will discuss the current hot topic of housing and the housing crisis that America is going through right now. I am being completely honest when I say I have no true in-depth understanding of the situation at hand. All I know is that there are daily reports of how houses' values are going down and people's homes going into foreclosure. I know that real estate is not a very popular or safe market to invest in right now. But why? Not only why, but what is being done about it?
With midterm elections coming around the corner, I believe it is imperative to understand the housing situation of our country right now. As a voter, I want to be informed on the different stances and policies that are being implicated right now in terms of housing. What is being done? What are people proposing to do? What should be done? I hope that as time goes by, I will be closer and closer to my goal of finding the answers to these questions.
While this is a blog about housing, I do want to disclaim the fact that it will not be a history of the housing situation in America since such and such year. Although background information will and would be helpful for my understanding of the subject, I do not want to dive into the past too deep. I want to focus on the present situation and analyze different aspects and ideas on what should be done about the crisis. What are the two sides to this argument?
I know I have probably bored many of you- in fact, I would be shocked to find out people have been patient enough to read this far. However, this is an adventure I am excited to take.
